Angelina Jolie's portrayal as a wicked sorceress is previewed in a teaser trailer for Disney's "Maleficent". She's been lurking in the shadows and hiding in the dark sinister shades when a naive Sleeping Beauty comes to her and coaxes her into stepping into the light.

"I know who you are," the young and curious Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) says to the well-hidden witch. "You've been watching over me my whole life. I know you're there. Your shadow has been following me ever since I was small." She adds, "Don't be afraid ... come out."

Aside from giving a look at the Sleeping Beauty's first encounter with the self-proclaimed Mistress of All Evil as she reveals herself to the young girl, it also debuts Jolie's daughter Vivienne as a younger version of the Princess. The trailer ends with an evil laugh from the witch.

The film explores the origins story of the iconic villain from a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman to a cold-stoned sorceress who puts a curse on the Sleeping Beauty. Helmed by first-timed director Robert Stromberg, it is slated to hit theaters nationwide on May 30, 2014.
