Before the teaser trailer for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" arrives on Thursday, October 24, a 10-second preview of what's to come is released by Marvel. The main elements in the film are flashed on the screen one after the other from the Cap himself, Nick Fury, Back Widow and Winter Soldier, their enemy.

In the next film set two years after the events in "The Avengers", Steve Rogers is still struggling to adapt to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, he becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. While trying to expose the ever-widening conspiracy, he's also fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn.

Chris Evans is back as the title hero while Scarlett Johansson returns as the Black Widow, his ally, and Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as the S.H.I.E.L.D high-ranking member. Sebastian Stan portrays James "Bucky" Barnes, the Cap's World War II sidekick who was brought back from the dead and turned into a brainwashed assassin.

The film will hit theaters in North America on April 4, 2014.
