The dramedy starring Ralph Fiennes and Saoirse Ronan is confirmed to be released Stateside on March 7, 2014.

AceShowbiz - Fox Searchlight books a March 7, 2014 release date for Wes Anderson's new movie "The Grand Budapest Hotel". The first trailer for the comedy drama starring "Harry Potter" star Ralph Fiennes and "Atonement" actress Saoirse Ronan is scheduled to be released Thursday, October 17.

Set in the 1920s, the movie will revolve around Gustave, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel, who embarks on a friendship with lobby boy Zero Moustafa and takes his junior under his wing. Fiennes plays the older employee, while Tony Revolori will portray his young protege.

They are thrown into a whirlwind adventure as they are dragged into a plot that involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune, and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century.

Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton and Owen Wilson are among the star-studded cast. Johnny Depp was initially linked to take on the main role, but he later dropped out of the project.
