The former Pussycat Doll was surprised to hear that Cowell was expecting a baby with Lauren Silverman because she thought the socialite was still married.

Nicole Scherzinger was taken aback by Simon Cowell's baby news. The judge on "The X Factor" U.K. version expressed her surprise when the singing competition was back on ITV over the weekend. "But isn't she married?" she commented on Cowell's baby mama status.
With her tight schedule, it's quite understandable that the former member of The Pussycat Dolls was a bit slow when it came to catching up with the latest news. But fellow judge Louis Walsh was quick to come to her rescue and clarify her.
"No, not any more. She's great fun and I think she makes him feel younger, that's what has kept him interested," Walsh said of Lauren Silverman. "It's a great reality check for him because he's a workaholic and Lauren is chilled-out. She is going to be a great influence on him."
Scherzinger herself is currently single after splitting from on/off boyfriend Lewis Hamilton. Despite his solemn tweet that read, "If you've found that special someone, don't ever EVER let them go no matter what!! Nothing in this world is more important," she insisted they were over.
"I know he's been very public about trying to get me back, but we're still not together," she said to The Sun. "It was very sweet of him," she added. "[But] the truth is we are no longer together. It is over."
The former Pussycat Doll was back on "The X Factor" with Walsh and "Take That" star Gary Barlow. Tulisa Contostavlos, who is on police bail after a drug scandal, was replaced by Sharon Osbourne.
