Mia Wasikowska was a vision at the premiere of her newest movie "Tracks" in Venice. The "Alice in Wonderland" actress nailed it as she graced the red carpet in a black halter gown with a lace bodice and mermaid hem. She paired her Nina Ricci gown with a simple updo and a swipe of bright red lipstick to finish off her elegant look.

The Australian star, 23, was joined by director John Curran and writer Robyn Davidson whom her character on the movie was based on. Other celebrity guests coming to the event taking place at the Palazzo del Cinema in Italy included Brazilian model Natalia Borges and Italian actress Eva Riccobono.

"Tracks" is a big-screen drama adapted from Davidson's memoir of the same name. It tells the astonishing true story of the writer who in 1977 set out on a solo 2,700-kilometre journey by foot across the Australian Outback. Wasikowka stars opposite Adam Driver who plays American photographer Rick Smolan.

After being screened Thursday, August 29 at the 70th Venice International Film Festival 2013, it is scheduled to open Adelaide Film Festival in October later this year.
