James Franco Bonds With Emma Roberts in 'Palo Alto' First Trailer
Movie

Val Kilmer and his son Jack are featured in the Gia Coppola film based on Franco's 2011 short story collection.

AceShowbiz - Just a day after the teaser trailer for "Child of God" landed online, James Franco debuts first trailer for "Palo Alto (2013)", which is adapted from his 2011 short story collection, via Vulture. Franco does not write or direct the pic as he takes part in the project as one of supporting actors, with Emma Roberts taking the lead.

As seen in the video, there are three categories of people featured in the movie: "There are girls looking for love", "There are boys looking for trouble", and "There are men looking for both". Franco, as it turns out, belongs to the latter, and he is seen kissing the leading lady, who is much younger than him, passionately.

Roberts, however, will not only strike up a relationship with Franco as there is a glimpse of her bonding with a same-aged boy, played by Jack Kilmer. There is also an appearance from Jack's dad, Val Kilmer, who is briefly seen having a small conversation with Roberts.

Directed and written by Gia Coppola, the granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola, "Palo Alto" is a dark drama centering on a group of teens with a penchant for finding trouble. To be premiered at the Telluride Film Festival this weekend, it also stars Keegan Allen, Nat Wolff and Christian Madsen.
