Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass will reportedly sing a medley of their greatest hits including 'Bye, Bye, Bye'.

AceShowbiz - It's happening...after 10 years since they last performed together onstage during a tribute to the legendary Bee Gees at the 2003 Grammy Awards, NSYNC will be reuniting at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on August 25 to be held at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick will perform a medley of their greatest hits before Timberlake receives his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from presenter Jimmy Fallon.

The idea for the boyband's reunion performance was proposed by MTV after it was confirmed that JT would perform. Given that he's one of the year's leading nominees and would be receiving the prestigious Vanguard award, it fits to acknowledge the group which became the springboard for his immense solo career success.

According to an insider, "they will reenact some of their greatest videos in a medley. Then Justin will sing his new song 'Take Back the Night' and get his [Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.]" "Take Back the Night" is the first single from "The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2", the sequel to JT's mega-successful album "The 20/20 Experience".

Timberlake will be presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, after garnering a running total of 14 Moonmen trophies from the MTV VMAs over the span of his career including his days with NSYNC. He is expected to add to more to his collection with the six nominations he has that night, which includes the coveted Video of the Year award.
