'Pompeii' Teaser Trailer: Kit Harington as Deadly and Sexy Gladiator
Movie

The 'Game of Thrones' actor bares his ripped body in 'Resident Evil' director Paul W.S. Anderson's upcoming movie.

Kit Harington shows up in the teaser trailer for "Pompeii", in which he stars as Milo, a slave turned invincible gladiator who must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his love from a corrupt Roman Senator. With the outfit that shows his tight, toned abs, the "Game of Thrones" actor looks even more manly with his "ready to fight" pose.

Such visual is apparently what is pictured in the first image of the film, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. To Entertainment Weekly which unveiled the said pic the day before the teaser is released, Harington explains what is going on with his character at that time, "This is the first scene you see me in. It's set in London, in fact, and it's a scene where my character is a gladiator fighting in an arena."

The trailer does briefly tease the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. The English actor reveals that the movie will follow the story of Milo and a higher-class beauty named Cassia, played by Emily Browning, until the volcano erupts.

"The differences, and why I was interested in the role, were that Milo is completely set on vengeance rather than honor and justice," admits the 26-year-old. Another reason why he was drawn into the project is because of Paul W.S. Anderson. "He's a very aesthetic director, Paul. He's very visual," he gushes over the "Resident Evil" helmer.

Set in 79 A.D., "Pompeii" is also supported by Kiefer Sutherland and Jared Harris. It will hit U.S. theaters on February 21, 2014.
