Ne-Yo made an energetic appearance on "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series on Friday morning, August 2. Clad in a black hat and a leather jacket, the R&B crooner began his set with a live performance of his 2008 single, "Closer".

He continued his show at Rumsfeld Playfield in Central Park, New York, with "Don't Make Em Like You". The 33-year-old entertainer then presented fans with a medley of "Give Me Everything (Tonight)", "Let's Go" and "Let Me Love You" before belting out another hit "Miss Independent".

During a brief interview, Ne-Yo said that he had to choose only 14 songs out of 150 songs he had recorded for his latest album, 2012's "R.E.D.". When asked how he made the choice, Ne-Yo replied, "It's a very painstaking process. But it's a labor of love."

"I have a team of people, whose opinions I trust very much. And we listen to all of the records. All 150 of them," he continued.
