AceShowbiz - Grammy Award-winning artist John Mayer debuts the second single "Wildfire" from his forthcoming album "Paradise Valley" and he's doing it with another lyric video similar to when he released "Paper Doll" last month. Unlike the first one where there was no sight of him but only of prancercise queen Joanna Rohrback, Mayer's fans will have a visual feast of the 35-year-old crooner in this new clip.
The four-minute "Wildfire" lyric video uses footage from Mayer's recent live performances at outdoor venues, a fitting backdrop to the laidback, breezy tune that's overflowing with handclaps and slide guitar. With easy-listening lyrics as "River's strong, you can swim inside it/ You can string some lights up here beside it/ Tonight the moon's so bright you could drive with your headlights out," it's just about right for the summer.
"Paradise Valley" features eleven tracks and will be released on August 20, pushed back by one more week from its original due date. It will be the singer/guitarist's sixth studio album following his previous sets "Room for Squares", "Heavier Things", "Continuum", "Battle Studies" and Born and Raised".
Mayer is on the second week of his "Born and Raised" tour, his first tour in three years due to a vocal break caused by a throat problem. Until the first week of October, he will be playing in a total of 40 cities across the U.S., Canada, including shows in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.
