"Scandal" is headed for BET in a newly-signed syndication deal. Under the pact, BET has exclusive rights to air new episodes of the show's upcoming season 3 no sooner than eight days after the episodes are broadcast on ABC.

"We're thrilled to be joining forces with ABC in airing this dynamic series," says Debra Lee, chairman of BET Networks. " 'Scandal' is a cultural phenomenon that has resonated with viewers for the past two seasons and were excited to be part of its continued journey."

The off-network rights also allow BET to air seasons one and two of the Kerry Washington-starring drama. The network plans a special marathon run of the first two seasons starting in August leading to the third season premiere in the fall.

Recently, TNT's "Rizzoli & Isles" also secured a syndication deal. It's sold to 170 markets and will begin airing on weekends in fall 2015. Ion, meanwhile, has landed off-network rights to USA's "Burn Notice" and "White Collar".
