Open Road Films has taken different route for the promotional effort of "jOBS". A new trailer for the Joshua Michael Stern-directed biopic of the late Steve Jobs turns out to be the first-ever trailer uploaded on Instagram. The duration is quite short as it gives a look at leads Ashton Kutcher and Josh Gad merely in 15 seconds.

Penned by Matt Whiteley, "jOBS" introduces Kutcher as the tech legend. It details the major moments and defining characters that influenced Steve Jobs on a daily basis from 1971 through 2000. The film plunges into the depths of his character, creating an intense dialogue-driven story that is as much a sweeping epic as it is an immensely personal portrait of Steve Jobs' life.

Joining Gad, who plays Steve Wozniak, in the cast ensemble are Dermot Mulroney, J.K. Simmons, Lukas Haas and Ahna O'Reilly. Premiered at this year's Sundance, "jOBS" will hit U.S. theaters on August 16.

For the coveted role, Kutcher has worked really hard to make a convincing Apple co-founder. Not only did he have a fruit-only diet which then resulted in pancreas problem, but the "Two and a Half Men" actor also tried to capture his hunched walk and demeanor.

"There is an eerie resemblance - he [Kutcher] didn't have to do much to get there," Gad told USA Today. "When he showed up, it sent a ripple of shock throughout the set ... It was literally like being in the room with the creator of Apple. This is one of those roles that's the perfect fit."
