Bill Cosby is doing his first television special in 30 years. Called "Far From Finished", the show will hit Comedy Central on November 24 and will be compiled from material that the "Bill Cosby Show" star performed at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center earlier this summer.

Robert Townsend is on board as director with Darryl M. Bell, Judi Marmel, Robert Hartmann and Stu Schreiberg set to serve as executive producers for the stand-up comedy concert event. Levity Productions will produce the show.

Cosby's last TV concert special was "Bill Cosby: Himself" which aired in 1983 and was part of "The Cosby Show" first season. The veteran actor says of his reason for returning to the form, "Because ... funny is funny."

The new TV gig comes as a perfect birthday present for the former "A Different World" star, who turned 76 on July 12.
