The highlights of the July 19 schedule include the panels for 'Veronica Mars', 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and 'Kick-Ass 2'.

AceShowbiz - San Diego Comic-Con has unleashed the official schedule for movie panels on Friday, July 19. Set to kick off the Hall H panel is Focus Features' "The World's End", a starring vehicle for "Shaun of the Dead" actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost which will start its panel at 10:00 A.M.
Kickstarter-funded "Veronica Mars" movie will be the next panel that also potentially draws big crowd at the annual convention. Director/writer/producer Rob Thomas is set to show up alongside cast members including Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino and Krysten Ritter for the Q&A session.
Universal Pictures, meanwhile, will take its much-talked-about "Kick-Ass 2" as well as "Riddick" to Hall H. While it seems like almost all leading cast members of "Kick-Ass" sequel are going to be on hand for the promotional effort, "Riddick" director/writer David Twohy only secures leading man Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista for the panel.
Other highlights on day 2 are Sony Pictures' panels for such hotly-anticipated movies as "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and "Robocop". "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2" and "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" are confirmed to take part in the event as well.
Additionally, legendary rock band Metallica will appear at the convention to promote "Metallica Through the Never", which stars Dane DeHaan.
The 2013 San Diego Comic-Con will run from July 18 to 21. The full Saturday and Sunday schedules of 2013 Comic-Con will be revealed later this week on the official site.
10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.: "The World's End": Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost Reunited - The director and stars of "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" have joined forces for a third movie - and it's "Barmageddon", their biggest yet. So expect candid chatter and spirited surprises as they take the wraps off their new comedy. Hall H.
11:15 A.M.: "Veronica Mars" Special Video Presentation and Q&A - Kristen Bell and co-stars, along with producer and director Rob Thomas, will debut exclusive footage and share details about the production. Hall H.
12:15 P.M.: "Kick-Ass 2" and "Riddick" - Universal Pictures presents an all-star panel featuring talent from two of its highly anticipated summer films. Hall H.
03:45 P.M.: "Wolves" - A sneak peek at David Hayter's directorial debut, the action werewolf thriller Wolves, followed by a Q&A panel with David Hayter. Room 5 AB.
04:05 P.M. - 6:15 P.M.: Sony Pictures and Screen Gems - The studios host panels for "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2", "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones", "Robocop" and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" with cast members of all movies set to be in attendance. Hall H.
06:30 P.M.: At the Drive-In With Metallica - Join all four members of Metallica, along with director/writer Nimrod Antal, for the world premiere of the theatrical trailer, poster, and an exclusive preview of footage, followed by a discussion on the making of groundbreaking 3D motion picture "Metallica Through the Never". Hall H.
07:30 P.M.: World Premiere of "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" - Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Animation invite you to be the first to experience "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox", the highly anticipated next entry in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies that will be available as a digital download on July 19 and a Blu-ray Combo Pack on July 30.
