Ashlee Simpson has reportedly found a new love. The former wife of Pete Wentz is romantically linked to Diana Ross' son after the couple was spotted going out on a supposed date in Hollywood two days in a row.

Ashlee, 28, and Evan Ross, 24, were spotted leaving Teddy's nightclub at the Roosevelt Hotel Monday night, July 1. She wore a floor-length flowered maxi dress and he dressed in dark pants, biker boots and a white tee topped with a dark sweater.

The next morning, the rumored lovebirds were pictured grabbing a bite. The mother of one looked relaxed in a white loose top, jeans, a floppy hat and oversized shades. Her male companion led the way as they were heading to an eatery.

Despite the romance rumors, a source says they were just friends. "Evan and Ashlee have been friends for a really long time, probably ten years," the source tells Us Weekly. "They know each other from the club scene and have tons of mutual friends."

Ashlee split from Fall Out Boy's bassist Wentz in 2011 after three years of marriage. They have son Bronx Mowgli together. After the divorce, she dated "Boardwalk Empire" actor Vincent Piazza but called it quits last fall.

Evan was once linked to Hollywood beauties like Brittany Snow, Hayden Panettiere and Lindsay Lohan.
