The British indie pop band drops the clip for the latest cut off their sophomore album entitled 'Coexist'.

AceShowbiz - The xx took the opportunity of their recent "Night + Day" tour stop in Palm Springs to shoot the music video for their latest single "Fiction". The new song is one of the tracks listed in their second studio album "Coexist".

The Young Replicant-directed visuals features vocalist Oliver Sim as he goes outdoors from inside a house, as he sings about a fractured relationship through such lyrics as "fiction, when we're not together / mistaken for a vision, something of my own creation / I wake up alone, with only daylight between us," walking out into a moon-lit night all by his lonesome. Sim's low vocals and the track's haunting melody make for a chilling mood-setter for the three-minute, black-and-white visuals.

The band is fresh from the success of the all-star soundtrack of the Baz Luhrmann film "The Great Gatsby", where their contribution entitled "Together", was listed alongside the singles of such superstars as Jay-Z, Beyonce Knowles, and will.i.am and Stacy Ferguson of the Black Eyed Peas. "Together" was thrust to the spotlight as the featured song in the end-credits of the Leonardo DiCaprio starrer.

Outside of their tour, The xx will hit the festival circuit this summer, returning to the Bonnaroo stage on June 14 after they perform at the Governors Ball in New York City this weekend. Before they play those gigs, they will first perform at London's Hatfield House on June 22.
