Movie

The potential role which Lee Pace has landed in the Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana-starring film has reportedly been found out now.

AceShowbiz - Lee Pace is indeed on board "Guardians of the Galaxy", a sci-fi flick from director James Gunn, to take on a villainous role. However, the name of the Marvel character has been unknown until JoBlo finally brings up a possible figure that 34-year-old Pace will likely play in the upcoming film.

According to the site, the action-packed film will be villainized by Ronan the Accuser, a member of the alien race the Kree who possesses a deadly weapon called the "Universal Weapon". Having fought the Fantastic Four, The Inhumans and Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics, he will make a perfect antagonist for the film if the claim is indeed true.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" centers on Star-Lord, a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants. The space-set adventure movie will include the giant tree-man Groot and the talking raccoon Rocket.

Chris Pratt is tapped to play Star-Lord, and Dave Bautista takes on the role of Drax the Destroyer. Previously expressing his interest in portraying Rocket, Michael Rooker of ''The Walking Dead" is cast for portraying Yondu, a Zatoan-tribe member and a founding member of the Guardians in the Marvel Comics universe.

Also supported by Ophelia Lovibond, the film is set to open in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.
