Michelle Williams and Jason Segel decided to end their romantic relationship recently. The two had been dating quietly for a year, but it seemed that the couple had a hard time being apart from each other. Williams lives with her daughter from the late Heath Ledger in New York, while Segel lives in Los Angeles where his series is being filmed.

Williams and Segel were spotted on an outing together last year. Although Segel was seen playing with Matilda and having Williams' photo on his phone, the actor refused to give statement about their relationship. In April 2012, Segel revealed, "I think we would just very much like to be happy. That's all I'm going to say about it."

A source told Us Weekly in June that the "How I Met Your Mother" actor was "totally in love. Jason is obsessed with Michelle." The same source added that Segel often did fatherly activities with Williams' 7-year-old daughter, Matilda. "He's been doing all sorts of 'dad stuff' with her, like drawing and playing music," said the source.

In January, the couple was photographed strolling at the beach in Cancun, Mexico, during a vacation with Williams' best friend Busy Philipps and husband. At the 2013 Academy Awards, Williams was seen hanging out in VIP area with Philipps. Segel apparently wasn't there.

Michelle Williams is a three-time Oscar nominee. She was nominated for "My Week With Marilyn" (2011), "Blue Valentine" (2010) and "Brokeback Mountain" (2005). Williams' latest project, "Oz: The Great and Powerful", will be released in the U.S. on March, 8.

Jason Segel is famous for his role on TV series "How I Met Your Mother". His latest movie was "This Is 40" which was released in December 2012.
