Sheldon Stephens, who is identified as the man who accused Kevin Clash of underage sex before he recanted it, has been jailed several times for robbery and reckless driving among other charges.

AceShowbiz - The man who recently accused Kevin Clash, the voice of "Sesame Street" Elmo, of underage sexual relationship has allegedly been revealed. According to The Smoking Gun, the accuser is Sheldon Stephens, who has had troubled past.
The 24-year-old, who describes himself as an "entrepreneur, student, model, actor" on his Twitter account, has been jailed for various charges since 2009, including reckless driving and passing a bad check. The latter charge was later dismissed after he settled his debt with a Harrisburg business.
The Harrisburg resident was also once arrested at the airport in Pennsylvania after his former boss, Music manager Darian Pollard, claimed Stephens had robbed him at knifepoint of a $250,000 "white gold necklace with diamonds" and a "white gold ring with diamond baguets." The struggling model was later spotted wearing the jewelry in the airport.
According to the criminal complaint, Stephens insisted the jewelry was gift. Beverly Hills Police Department detective told Pennsylvania authorities that they would file the charges in California "for theft and other charges," but research found that the charges were never filed and were dropped in Pennsylvania two weeks after his arrest.
Stephens lives with his 48-year-old mother, Felicia Stephens, who has had her own legal trouble. She was charged in May with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing her husband with a pair of scissors. She's also facing felony aggravated assault charge, but is free on bail and due in court on December 19.
Earlier this month, Stephens shocked people with his allegation that puppeteer Kevin Clash engaged in a sex with him when he was still 16 years old. The aspiring model, who once appeared in a 30-second online commercial for a York, Pennsylvania clothing store, later recanted his claim.
"He wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship," he said through his attorney. "He will have no further comment on the matter."
