Elena is struggling to come to term of her new being in a new promo of "The Vampire Diaries" season 4. Presenting a lot of fresh scenes, the video sees the Mystic Falls beauty asking, "Am I dead?" According to Bonnie, Elena's "still in transition. Not fully dead, not fully alive."
Helping Elena to accept her new self, Stefan and Damon only have a day to convince her to drink blood or she'll die. "You feed or you die," the older Salvatore tells her. Meanwhile, Bonnie thinks she knows a way to get Elena out of this situation. Bonnie is later seen passing out during a ritual.
In another scene, Stefan is held at gunpoint by several men, who may later lock him and Elena behind bars. Two girls in a car crash and Elena saying she's dying are some other things shared in the snippet.
The new chapter of "Vampire Diaries" will premiere Thursday, October 11 at 8 P.M. on The CW. Dishing on her character's state early in the season, Nina Dobrev once said, "She doesn't want to eat people, so she's hungry and moody."
