Ten years after dropping their fifth album, the Gwen Stefani band return with new single 'Settle Down' that has been praised by critics.

AceShowbiz - No Doubt are poised to reclaim their heyday with their upcoming sixth studio album "Push and Shove" after years of hiatus. Taking almost five years for the planning and the making, the new record that is set for a September release has dropped its first single "Settle Down" which won critics' favor.

Praised for featuring No Doubt's signature sound, the dancehall-infused pop song with a Jamaican street vibe/Reggae beat reached No. 34 on Billboard Hot 100 as of August 4. The band later released a remix version of the track with the helping hand of Major Lazer.

Mark "Spike" Stent, who co-produced five songs in the album, shared that Gwen Stefani and co. "wanted it to feel like it was a band playing this rather than everything just programmed and sampled." The British mixing engineer added, "My angle was to work with all the 80s influences they love but also trying to make it a modern record as well."

During the long process of creating the new music, the rock band kept in touch with their devotees by embarking on a world tour in summer 2009. In 2010, the four-piece group also released a compilation album "Icon" which featured the same track listing as their previous compilation album "The Singles 1992-2003", but offered it with a low price point.
