While "Prometheus" has The Weyland Industries and "The Amazing Spider-Man" has Oscorp, Jose Padilha's anticipated "RoboCop" reboot features its own dominating megacorporation called Omnicorp. More than a year before the remake movie hits theaters, Omicorp unleashes its first ever viral campaign to promote its radical business.

Through its newly-released official site, "Omnicorp.com", the fictional company debuts a video that offers a look at what business the company runs. Presenting a futuristic setting, the footage introduces various robotic weapons that are created by Omni including the iconic killer robot "ED-209".

"Imagine your city with no crime, where a policeman's life is never at risk," so the voiceover in the video gushes. The company also teases its latest inovation which will "combine human resources with robotics". The yet-to-be-released product seems to be none other than RoboCop himself. "We've got the future under control," so the slogan of the company claims.

"RoboCop" was first introduced to Hollywood by director Paul Verhoeven in 1987. The story follows a cop who is brought back from the brink of death in the form of a cyborg with no memories of his prior life. The script of the upcoming reboot, which is slated for a August 9, 2013 release in the U.S., is written by Josh Zetumer.

Starring as the titular character is Joel Kinnaman. He will be joined by Gary Oldman as the scientist who creates RoboCop, Samuel L. Jackson as a patriotic media mogul, Abbie Cornish as the protagonist's conflicted wife, and Hugh Laurie as the villainous CEO of OmniCorp.
