Katy Perry has premiered a first TV spot for her 3D concert movie, "Katy Perry: Part of Me", during the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards airing on March 31. The 30-second promotional video presents real footage that shows the "Firework" hitmaker's rocketing career from when she was a church singer to the time she became a pop sensation.

During the annual prize-giving event, Perry also announced the official U.S. release date for her upcoming film. Speaking to E! News' Kelly Osbourne on the orange carpet, the songstress revealed, "My concert documentary is coming out Fourth of July weekend. Go and see it and be a firework!"

"Katy Perry: Part of Me" is designed as a concert-documentary movie hybrid, which aims to show the "E.T." singer's life on and off the stage as well as gives a fan's perspective on the songstress.

Perry's concert movie is directed by Magical Elves, which consists of Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz. The duo had previously worked as the producers for Justin Bieber's successful concert documentary, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never".
