AceShowbiz - Possible details on why Kris Humphries allegedly stalls his divorce from Kim Kardashian have been uncovered. Just days after the NBA star filed legal documents demanding his estranged wife to disclose how much money they made during their short-lived marriage, words came out that he is seeking to have her admit their wedding "was staged by her and her family."
"Kris wants Kim to admit to fraud," a so-called friend of Humphries told New York Post's Page Six, "to admit the whole thing was staged for publicity, to make a public apology to him because he really wanted a marriage." The pal also pointed out that despite claim that he is "money-hungry," the New Jersey Nets player "turned down a $7 million settlement."
"Her camp is putting out stories about 'Kim's divorce hell' hoping he'll cave in, but he won't," stressed the friend further. Another pal additionally noted that Humphries and his camp are furious at the attack by Kardashian's people. "They are trying to spin Kim as the victim, but Kris isn't going to stand for it," said the latter source.
A source close to Kardashian, however, insisted that the "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" star never made the $7 million offer to shut Humphries up. Additionally, the source slammed claims that the 31-year-old reality star is attacking him in the press, by stating that the older sister of Khloe Kardashian "just wants to move on."
Kardashian married Humphries in a lavish ceremony on August 20, 2011. After only 72-days of marriage, the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 31. Most recently, she was slapped with an accusation of "breaching fiduciary duty" by him as he demanded access to any accounting books and records of any transactions during their marriage.
