'I just wish it had lasted longer,' so the retired tennis champion reacts after she and her partner Tony Dovolani learn that they no longer have a chance to win the Mirror Ball trophy.

AceShowbiz - Martina Navratilova has become the first celebrity who got the boot on "Dancing with the Stars" season 14. The former World No. 1 female tennis player got the lowest combination of judges scores and viewers votes on the Tuesday, March 27 elimination show.

"It was an amazing experience," the 55-year-old Czech American said after hugging partner Tony Dovolani upon learning her fate on the ABC reality series. "I just wish it had lasted longer. I gave it everything I had but I blew it yesterday and it cost me." She additionally wished the other contestants "great luck."

Martina was on the bottom of the scoreboard with 37 points from the judges following her performance on the first and second week. Gavin DeGraw, who was also in jeopardy on the first elimination show, told the retired athlete, "It was an honor to be on this stage with you."

The elimination show featured Matt Nathanson and Sugarland as the musical performers. Former "DWTS" contestants Katie Couric, Kyle Massey, Lacey Schwimmer and Sabrina Bryan, meanwhile, were spotted among the audience.
