How Joseph Gordon-Levitt will look like as a younger version of Bruce Willis in "Looper" has been uncovered in first look images of the upcoming sci-fi pic. Being unveiled on Sunday, March 18 during a panel at the 2012 WonderCon in Anaheim, California, the photos show serious looking Gordon-Levitt wielding a handgun.

In the time travel movie, Gordon-Levitt plays Joe, an assassin who is hired by a mob whose latest target is Joe's future self, played by Willis. During the panel, the "Inception" actor said that playing Joe is the most transformative and challenging role he has this year compared to his other roles in upcoming movies, "The Dark Knight Rises", "Lincoln" and "Premium Rush".

Gordon-Levitt also sang praises to director/screenwriter Rian Johnson, whom he also worked with in 2005's "Brick". He gushed, "When all is said and done, they will talk about him in the same way they do when they talk about Chris [Nolan] and Steven [Spielberg]. All do it for the same reason; 'Cause they f***ing love movies.' Most people do it with money as the finish line. It doesn't lead to the best movies. It rarely does."

Looper is the third feature film from Johnson after "Brick" and 2008's "The Brothers Bloom". Also starring Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels, the action movie is slated for a September 28 release in theaters across the U.S.
