Shortly after releasing the first official image of Judi Dench as M in "Skyfall", director Sam Mendes unveiled the first video blog from the upcoming James Bond movie. A courtesy of the official 007 website, the clip gives a look at Mendes doing his directing duty and reveals short glimpses at some scenes from the anticipated Bond film.
Talking about what drove him to helm the 23rd installment, Mendes says, "The roots of my doing this Bond movie start way before anybody approached me because, like everyone else, I have my own personal relationship with Bond which began when I was I suppose about nine or ten years old." He added, "I've always been a fan of the movies."
In "Skyfall", Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the flamboyant British agent for the third time after 2006's "Casino Royale" and 2008's "Quantum of Solace". This time around, his loyalty to M is tested as M's past comes back to haunt her. When MI6 comes under attack, Bond must track down and destroy the threat no matter how personal the cost is.
This much-awaited Bond movie is due to arrive in theaters across the U.S. on November 9. Javier Bardem takes the role of the main villain, Judi Dench plays M, Naomie Harris stars as Eve, and Ben Whishaw is set as Q. Rounding up the cast ensemble are Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Berenice Marlohe and Ola Rapace.
