What "The Good Wife" has in store when it comes back for its midseason premiere next year has been teased in a new promo. The clip give a sneak preview at the tension in the court room as well as inside the law firm office. It additionally teases that someone will get roughed up, while another one is going to get a kiss.

"Do you ever get the feeling we're losing control?" asks Will Gardner at one point in the clip. While he's concerned about what happens, his colleagues Eli Gold and Alicia Florrick express the otherwise. The former assures that everything is good, while the latter affirms it by stressing that it's "better than ever."

Earlier this month, Michael Ausiello said in a spoilery statement that Will and Alicia indeed will end their relationship. "I'm afraid it's the end... for now at least," he said. "But as one romance ends, a new one blossoms: Eli Gold is finally going to get some lovin'! And the lucky girl is someone we met for the first time this season."

Josh Charles, Julianna Margulies and Alan Cumming will be back reprising their roles as Will, Alicia and Eli respectively. They will kick off the midseason with "Alienation of Affection" on January 8. It will see Lockhart/Gardner's future at stake when a couple whose divorce was overseen by the firm accuses them of encouraging the breakup for financial gain.
