Alyson Hannigan has one happy news to share. The actress known for her portrayal of Lily Aldrin on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" announced through her Twitter account on Friday, December 16 that she is expecting her second child with actor husband Alexis Denisof.
"Yes, I am pregnant! This time it is NOT a food baby. We are beyond happy!" so wrote the 37-year-old as referring to the post she made in September to deny pregnancy rumors. She at the time tweeted, "NO, I'm not pregnant! I just ate too much carnival food, that time of the month, hurt my back & couldn't suck my gut in, & need 2 do cardio!"
Aly's first pregnancy forced producers to be creative in hiding her growing belly, but with Lily expecting her first child on the sitcom, the actress' second one comes as a good news. Co-creator Craig Thomas told E! Online, "Everyone at How I Met Your Mother is thrilled for Aly! And we'd especially like to thank her for timing this perfectly to Lily's pregnancy on the show!"
Aly, who is reprising her role as Michelle Flaherty in "American Reunion", first met husband Alexis Denisof when working together on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and its spin-off, "Angel". The two tied the knot in 2003. Five-and-a-half years later, they welcomed their first child together, a daughter they named Satyana.
