The full 8-minute trailer of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)" has been made available for viewing pleasure via Apple. The extended preview is the same as the one that was exclusively released last September during the select screening of "Straw Dogs" in Los Angeles, but it was not officially released online until now.
The video offers a more in-depth look at Daniel Craig's Mikael Blomkvist and Rooney Mara's Lisbeth Salander as they team up to unveil the mystery surrounding the long-unsolved disappearance of an heiress named Harriet Vanger. It features music scored by Trent Reznor as the backsound.
Reznor recently announced on Nine Inch Nails' website that the original soundtrack for "Dragon Tattoo" is now available for pre-order. The album includes Reznor and Atticus Ross' version of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song". Additionally, a six-track sampler of the album is now available for viewing pleasure and can be obtained with no purchase.
Based on Stieg Larsson's best-selling crime thriller trilogy "The Millenium Series", "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is directed by David Fincher and written by Steven Zaillian. In addition to Craig and Mara, the film is supported by Robin Wright Penn, Stellan Skarsgard, Christopher Plummer, Goran Visnjic, Joel Kinnaman and Joely Richardson. It will open wide in U.S. theaters on December 21.
