NBC will enter 2012 midseason with a new schedule which sees a major reshuffle. On its Thursday 8 P.M. line-up, "Community" is benched to give a room for the return of "30 Rock" starting January 12. The network insists the college-set comedy has not been canceled, but it is unclear when the remaining of the season will return.

Still on January 12, "Whitney" will be replaced by "Up All Night" at 9:30 P.M. The Whitney Cummings-starring series is moved to Wednesdays at 8 P.M. starting January 11. Meanwhile, "Prime Suspect" is missing from the line-up and its Thursday 10 P.M. slot is filled with new show "The Firm". A representative for NBC says the network is considering the options on the police procedural series.

Also getting a new slot is "Rock Center With Brian Williams" which will air on Wednesdays at 9 P.M. starting February 8. The newsmagazine's old Monday 10 P.M. slot will be filled with new show "Smash". Accordingly, "Harry's Law" is moved from Wednesdays at 9 P.M. to Sundays at 8 P.M. Reports say the new drama will get a full-season order.

Meanwhile, "Are You There, Chelsea?" which was previously known as "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me Chelsea" will premiere on Wednesday, January 11 at 8:30 P.M., with "Whitney" as its lead-in. New reality series "Fashion Star" will debut on March 13 at 9 P.M. with a two-hour premiere. It will return with its regular slot at 10 P.M. on March 20.

WEDNESDAYS 8-8:30 P.M. - "Whitney" (beginning January 11) 8:30-9 P.M. - "Are You There, Chelsea?" (beginning January 11) 9-10 P.M. - "Rock Center with Brian Williams" (beginning February 8) 10-11 P.M. - "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"
