Confirming her plan to release an album, the ex-fiancee of Jesse James says her music will be 'more on the dark, more tragically romantic' side.

Contrary to her rocky relationship with Jesse James, Kat Von D has a quite steady career and plots to expand it by trying her hands at music. The tattoo artist confirmed the plan when talking to E! News in a recent occasion.
"I've been passionate about music all my life," she said when attending Rage video game launch event in Los Angeles. "I've been playing classical piano since I was six. So I understand the form, but it will be fun to be able to translate a message."
She said crafting music is "much like tattooing or the TV show or makeup, my clothing line, fashion." She furthermore explained, "All those things, they're just different outlets to be able to be creative. So music, I think it's going to be one of those things."
Talking about the direction she's going to take in her first effort, Von D revealed she will work on something "more on the dark, more tragically romantic" side. Of her music inspirations, she cited Depeche Mode and The Cure.
