The 'Trespass' lead actor shares his real life experience of home invasion while promoting his upcoming thriller at 2011 Toronto International Film Festival.

Nicolas Cage apparently can relate to what his character is going through in "Trespass". During a news conference to promote the upcoming thriller at the 36th Toronto International Film Festival, the Oscar winner recalled the time when he woke up only to find a naked home invader.
"It was two in the morning," the 47-year-old told reporters on Wednesday, September 14. "I was living in Orange County at the time and was asleep with my wife. My two-year old at the time was in another room. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed."
When reporters laughed, the "Kick-Ass" star said, "I know it sounds funny ... but it was horrifying." He went on to share that he talked the intruder out of the house, and decided not to press charges against the man because he had mental problems. Still, the actor admitted he could no longer stay in the house afterward.
"Trespass" sees Cage playing a fast-talking businessman who along with wife and teenage daughter is taken hostage by a group of cold-blooded criminals inside his mansion. It has director Joel Schumacher serving behind the lens with Nicole Kidman starring opposite Cage.
