The 'Water for Elephants' actress walked through the luxurious mansion in Malibu recently but no deal has been sealed yet.

Reese Witherspoon reportedly is taking interest in Brad Pitt's Malibu pad and has submitted her name in the list of potential buyers. After a walk-in on August 28, the newly-married actress wants to purchase the beachfront property which is offered on the market for $14 million.
"She seemed interested in it," a witness told Us Weekly, adding "She hasn't made an offer yet. The house is still on the market." The house boasts a pool and a tennis court. Pitt bought in in 2005 for $8 million. The actor and partner Angelina Jolie have other properties in France, New Orleans and Italy.
Witherspoon is a close friend of Pitt's ex Jennifer Aniston who lunched with her at Beverly Hills' Polo Lounge the day after she walked through the house. "Reese and Jen sat next to each other and held court with three other girls," a witness said.
