Ahead of the September 23 premiere, "Blue Bloods" season 2 has been previewed in a video. Making its way out via Entertainment Weekly, the promo gives a first look at Carrie Underwood and Tony Bennett who make cameo appearance as themselves in the first episode.
Underwood, donning a glittering dress, is joined on a stage by Bennett since they serve as musical guests at a fundraiser attended by Frank (Tom Selleck) and Erin (Bridget Moynahan) for the newly appointed mayor (David Ramsey) in the scene. At one moment, Bennet recognizes Frank as his friend.
Titled "Mercy", the new season opener of "Blue Bloods" sees the death of a supporter for the mayor elect. Frank is put on the spot when the mayor wants him to position it to the public as a random act of violence. Meanwhile, Jamie goes undercover at a bar and meets a suspicious patron.
