A new promo for "Supernatural" season 7 once again affirms that Castiel will not be who he has been seen before when the show returns this fall. Preparing fans to wave goodbye to the old Cas, the video includes scenes where the angel is declaring himself a god and stating that "the Castiel you knew is gone".
The new season will premiere on Friday, September 23 at 9/8c on The CW. Misha Collins, who plays Castiel, hinted at the Comic-Con last July that there will be an unexpected parallel between his character and the Antichrist in the season opener.
Meanwhile, the Winchesters will face an evil "that there's no lore to tell them how to deal with," Jensen Ackles teased, before adding, "Sam, Dean and Bobby are going to have to put their heads together to figure out what the hell they're going to do because no one's ever had to deal with this before."
