Marc Lawrence will write a script for the remake of classic sitcom 'Bewitched', while Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner will pen a script for the modern take on the legend of Frankenstein.

Two old works are going to get a new touch from CBS and NBC. According to Variety, the former has ordered a script for a remake of comedy series "Bewitched", while the latter has ordered a drama script for a modern take on classic character Frankenstein.
Providing the script for the "Bewitched" remake will be "Did You Hear About the Morgans?" director/scribe Marc Lawrence. He will also serve as an executive producer alongside Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher.
Meanwhile, executive producers of "House M.D.", Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner, will provide the script for the new Frankenstein project.
The original "Bewitched" ran from 1964 to 1972 with Elizabeth Montgomery, Dick York, Dick Sargent and Agnes Moorehead among the cast. The big screen version, starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell, was released in 2005 with Wick and Fisher behind it.
Frankenstein first appeared in Mary Shelley's 1818 novel. The monster has since appeared in films, TV shows and plays including 1910's movie "Frankenstein" and 1994's play "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein".
Another network ABC, meanwhile, is looking to convert Matthew McConaughey-starring film "The Lincoln Lawyer" into a TV series. The alphabet has ordered the script from a screenwriter of the novel-adapted movie, John Romano, and the novelist himself, Michael Connelly, via Lionsgate.
