The action movie is a sequel to 2008's critically-acclaimed "The Dark Knight". It is going to be released in theaters across the United States in the summer of 2012. Christian Bale is going to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/the Dark Knight, and Gary Oldman comes back as Commissioner Gordon.

The other cast include Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy. The "Alice in Wonderland" actress is added to the cast ensemble to play Selina Kyle/Catwoman, and the "Inception" actor is tapped to portray the villain, Bane.

Director Christopher Nolan is reportedly filming the movie at Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon University. He has been set to stage a prison break with "precision stunt driving, gunfire, atmospheric smoke, and controlled pyrotechnic explosions."
