The Devil in 'Bedazzled' is cast for a recurring role of a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul who will change the lives of existing characters, including Gossip Girl herself.

AceShowbiz - After almost igniting a fight on "Wonder Woman", Elizabeth Hurley will get in touch with "Gossip Girl". The English model/actress is going to join the fifth season of The CW hit show for a multi-episode arc, a spokesperson for the network has confirmed.
The 46-year-old beauty, who was cast as Wonder Woman's nemesis, Veronica Cale, on the ill-fated superheroine pilot, will portray Diana Payne. Executive producers Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran describe the character as "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with."
Diana's entrance is also said to affect the lives of existing characters, including and especially Gossip Girl herself. Gushing on the newest addition to the cast ensemble, Stephanie and Joshua add, "Elizabeth's sense of humor, intelligence and beauty fit the GG world perfectly. We feel very fortunate to have her."
Diana, who once dated Hugh Grant for 13 years, is best known for her role as Vanessa Kensington in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery starring Mike Myers. She recently wrapped "High Midnight", featuring Vincent D'Onofrio and Rachael Leigh Cook, which will be released sometime next year.
"Gossip Girl" will return for a fifth season on Monday, September 26. French actress and model Roxane Mesquida has been cast as Prince Louis' sister who will threaten to derail Blair's royal wedding.
