"The Amazing Race" has received an early order for another new season. CBS announced on Thursday, June 16 that it has ordered the reality series for a 20th season that will premiere in spring 2012.

Before that, the Emmy-winning show will return for the 19th season this fall on Sundays at 8 P.M. Phil Keoghan will return as the host with new contestants after the 18th season, which was won by Kisha and Jen, featured eleven teams from previous editions.

Created by Van Munster and Elise Doganieri, the show averaged 11.2 million viewers and a 3.4 rating/9 share in the 18-49 demo during the past two editions (season 17 and 18). Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram van Munster, Jonathan Littman, Mark Vertullo and Doganieri executive produce it.
