The couple hosted a cocktail party in a hotel rooftop which has the panoramic view of Los Angeles and hired a DJ to entertain the guests.

Before the actual wedding takes place, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo held a wedding shower at the rooftop of London Hotel in West Hollywood. The couple invited close friends and family on Sunday, May 29 to gather and watch the great view of Los Angeles skyline while enjoying cocktails.
"Nick and Vanessa greeted guests hand-in-hand. Vanessa looked gorgeous in a white dress with a black sash. She and Nick both seemed very excited to celebrate with their families and friends," an eyewitness told People, adding "Everyone seemed to have a great time. It was a laidback, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Guests danced until the late hours."
Spotted among the crowd were NFL player Matt Leinhart and Nick's brother Drew Lachey. "There was lots of mingling and Nick and Vanessa stayed close to each other for most of the night," another eyewitness told Us Magazine. "They were holding hands and walking around greeting people. They both seemed very excited for the party and to spend the weekend with their closest friends."
The couple has registered at Williams-Sonoma and Geary's. Shower gifts included Juliska Berry & Thread whitewash dinnerware, Waterford champagne flutes and a Feinberg English Silver wine funnel.
