The 'Mean Girls' star was out of talks to play John Gotti's daughter Victoria in 'Gotti: Three Generations' but then acquired the role of Kim.

AceShowbiz - After a case of hot and cold, Lindsay Lohan is officially signed to "Gotti: Three Generations". Instead of portraying Victoria Gotti as presumed, she would be Kim Gotti aka John Gotti Jr.'s wife. In addition, Lindsay also struck a deal with Marc Fiore's other production, "Mob Street" which screenplay is written by Chazz Palminteri.

"We're very pleased to have Lindsay on-board for both of these films," executive producer Marc Fiore tells Us Weekly in a statement. "She has been very enthusiastic about the Gotti project, and after resuming discussions with her, we were impressed by her commitment to the film and felt she would be a perfect Kim Gotti."

Earlier on Wednesday, April 20, Fiore announced that the actress was out of the project's negotiations. Rumor has it, Fiore could not meet the middle with her management team. But as it turned out, Lindsay was out of the talks to play Victoria aka sister of John Gotti Jr.

"I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do," Lohan tells The Associated Press. "I think it's such an iconic story. I'm honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci."

Filming will begin in fall for 2012 release. Nick Cassavetes had dropped out as the director due to scheduling conflict. The role of John Gotti Jr. is also yet filled.
