Frank turns up missing on the day his disability check arrives and later shows up at Sheila's house with a hole in his sock.

"Shameless", the American version, officially debuted on Sunday, January 9 with an introduction of the Gallagher family. Next week in "Frank the Plank", the dark comedy will show more about their neighbors, namely Veronica, Kev and Sheila.
The synopsis says, "When Frank goes out on a Friday night, he disappears and misses to cash his disability check. He wakes up in Toronto, but has no recollection of what happened." One clip shows his family, with the help of Veronica, making phone calls to find out his whereabouts. In the other clip, Frank visits Sheila with a flower, and repels her with his feet.
In an interview to promote the series, William H. Macy said that his character's relationship with Joan Cusack's Sheila will bloom. "I have an affair with the next-door neighbor, who we think is a shy hothouse flower," the actor said. "She turns out to be anything but, and she has a penchant for sex toys. Big ones."
