AceShowbiz - On Tuesday, December 14, Matt Damon stepped out at the Clearview Cinemas Ziegfeld Theater to attend the New York premiere of "True Grit". He was not alone for the promotional duty since his co-stars Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld were also there to support the event.

Coming hand in hand with Luciana Barroso who gave birth to their third daughter in October, Damon then moved to pose next to newcomer Steinfeld with Bridges standing on the other side of the young actress. Josh Brolin, who takes a villainous role in the film, was not seen around them.

More gentlemen like directors/writers Ethan and Joel Coen, as well as actors Barry Pepper and Domhnall Gleeson suited up to come to the special screening. Meanwhile, Hollywood beauties including Carla Gugino, Gretchen Mol, Jena Malone and Jill Hennessy added fresh tone to the venue, which was decorated with Western theme matched with brown carpet.

A remake to a 1969 Western movie with the same title, "True Grit" focuses on a14-year-old girl who hunts down her father's killer in hostile Native American territory with the help of an aging U.S. marshal and a Texas Ranger. The drama adventure film will entertain moviegoers during Christmas holiday for it will have been released Stateside on December 22.
