Unable to make it to the BBC Radio One Teen Awards, the 24-year-old actor sent the footage, thanking fellow Brits for their supports.

AceShowbiz - Though Robert Pattinson is busy in the U.S. filming "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I", the 24-year-old heartthrob didn't fully disappoint fellow Brits waiting for him at the recent BBC Radio One Teen Awards. Unable to make it to the gala to receive his honors, he taped a video thanking his fans for their support.

As the event's hosts left the stage after mentioning Pattinson's name and showing their disappointed faces since the heartthrob couldn't come, the video featuring the Edward Cullen of "Twilight" saga suddenly appeared. The video message instantly invited screams from fans. The rumored lover of Kristen Stewart was later seen thanking his fans for the awards and quipping about the casual outfit he wore at that time.

At the first ever BBC Radio One Teen Awards which was held at London's Hammersmith Apollo, Pattinson secured two awards - Best Actor and Best Dressed. Other honorees at the prize giving event, which saw Taylor Swift's live performances, were Plan B with the Best Album kudo for his "The Defamation of Strickland Banks" and Biffy Clyro with Best Song award for their hit "Bubbles".
