It turned out that report mentioning "One Tree Hill" beauty Sophia Bush and her co-star Austin Nichols are engaged is nothing but a hoax. The 28-year-old actress put the record straight by taking it on her Twitter page on Thursday, November 11, writing "Sorry y'all, we're not engaged!"

"Shooting a TV wedding, not a real one! Hahaha," Sophia went on, before adding "Must be a slow week in the gossip world." The engagement news was first run by Star magazine and quickly picked by other sites. A source told Star that Sophia and Austin "plan to get married soon".

Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols have been dating on and off since 2006 but just confirmed the romance in May this year. "We've been dating off and on for the past four years. I was pretty terrified," she said. "We had so many years of history prior to him coming to work on the show, and I think someone taking a job and moving their life across the country to show you how much they care is pretty much the most romantic gesture that a person could make."

Sophia was previously married to another "One Tree Hill" star, Chad Michael Murray, but their 2005 nuptials lasted just five months. As for Austin, he previously dated artist Claire Oswalt for seven years but the then-couple called off their engagement in 2004.
