Anthony Peckham is set to board for "Moscow", so The Hollywood Reporter (THR) says. The screenwriter has been tapped to provide the script for the upcoming Jack Ryan movie, which is being developed by Paramount Pictures and has Chris Pine attached to star as the main character.

THR also reports that the studio is eying to start production as soon as later this year or early 2011 and Peckham's recruitment is a part of the preparation. The story itself is said to focus on "Ryan's early career" and "set in Russia, with terrorist acts as a backdrop". Adam Cozad previously worked on the script of the upcoming action thriller.

Anthony Peckham's first screenplay to reach production was 1990's "The Assassin". Recently in 2009, he wrote for two high-profile releases: Clint Eastwood-directed Nelson Mandela biopic "Invictus" starring Morgan Freeman and Guy Ritchie-directed "Sherlock Holmes" starring Robert Downey Jr.
