The band warmed up the event by singing a longer version of the show's theme song before the cast came out and sang 'Soft Kitty'.

AceShowbiz - "The Big Bang Theory" panel at the San Diego Comic Con gave a nice warm up touch for the audience when they gave the lyrics to the show's theme song and surprised fans with the live performance of Barenaked Ladies. Moderator Wil Wheaton encouraged the attendees to sing-along with the band. The musical treat did not stop there for Jim Parsons led a rendition of "Soft Kitty".

Following the performance, cast Simon Helberg said, "Is it geeky that I just cried during that accordion solo?". Kaley Cuoco later admitted that she is geeky for the band. Each of the cast was then asked about what superhero ability would they take and what would be their names. Kunal Nayyar said he wants to make things awesome and his name would be Awesome Man.

Creator Chuck Lorre also joked about the list of guest stars they want, saying Wheaton who plays Sheldon's nemesis is in the bottom of the list. But he did confirm that Apple founder Steve Wozniak would be a guest.

As for what will happen between Penny and Leonard, show writer Lee Aronsohn said, "We just want to do what will provide us with more storie. We've seen shows that have really hurt themselves by doing a lot of will-they-won't-they, and when they finally do, no one really cares anymore. We want to keep it interesting." This confirms that Penny and Leonard are going back as friends and new love interests would come. That said, Mayim Bialik aka Blossom is returning.

The fourth season premieres September 23.
