Stephen Graham Is Jack Sparrow's Sidekick in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4'

The British actor, who has previously teamed up with Johnny Depp in 'Public Enemies', will play a Machiavellian pirate in the upcoming adventure movie.

AceShowbiz - Johnny Depp will get another companion on his next cruise in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". Variety has reported that Stephen Graham has been added to the cast ensemble for the movie, playing a Machiavellian pirate called Scrum.

Graham is reported to be a sidekick to Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow. Previously, British actor Sam Claflin has been cast for the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean" film to play a key role of Philip, a youthful missionary.

Also landing roles in the fourth installment of the Disney's adventure film franchise are Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane. The Spanish beauty will be seen as Sparrow's new love interest while the 67-year-old actor will be Cruz's on-screen father as well as Sparrow's new nemesis, Blackbeard.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" will see the eccentric pirate on his quest to seek out the fountain of youth. Rob Marshall is on board to direct this upcoming film when the production is kicked off in Hawaii this summer. Walt Disney Pictures eyes May 20, 2011 release for the movie in the U.S.

Stephen Graham has previously worked together with Johnny Depp in 2009 "Public Enemies". The 36-year-old star recently wrapped "The Fields" in which he shares screen with Sam Worthington. He additionally can next be seen in "Season of the Witch" which also stars Nicolas Cage and is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters sometime this year.
