Accused of 'misinterpretation of facts, breach of trust and plagiarism of cause,' Lindsay Lohan has removed the tweet that led to the controversy.

AceShowbiz - Recently traveling to India to film a BBC's documentary on children trafficking, troubled singer Lindsay Lohan has been slammed by Indian non-governmental organization for a misunderstood Twitter post. "Over *40 children saved* so far ... Within one day's work ...This is what life is about.... Doing THIS is a life worth living!!! Oh, and I'm talking about being in India," the tweet which generated controversy read.

Bhuvan Ribhu, national secretary of the NGO, told The Telegraph that the songstress has trivialized serious situation since she was not in the country when the raid was held. "The rescue operation took place on 8 December when she had not even arrived in India. Since she was not even in the country how can she claim she rescued the children?" Bhuvan said.

"The raid was done by the Delhi government on a complaint launch by the NGO. We will now sue her for misinterpretation of facts, breach of trust and plagiarism of cause," Bhuvan continued. "We'll be complaining to the BBC and talking to our lawyers ... Would Lohan know where these workshops are?"

In response, BBC came to Lindsay's defense. A spokesperson for the TV station said, "Lindsay Lohan has just completed filming in India for a BBC Three project on child trafficking. We would like to stress that she did not say she was present at the raid, this is a misinterpretation. She was merely referring to a raid that happened connected to child trafficking - the subject of the program."

Lindsay herself hasn't given any comment on that matter but has removed the post from her Twitter account following the criticism.
